A bit about me

Why I do this work

Looking beneath the surface

So many of the people I work with are like ducks.

On the surface, things can look calm or fine.
Underneath, there’s a lot of effort going into staying upright, regulated, and afloat.

My work is about noticing what’s happening below the surface and making movement feel safer, more manageable, and less exhausting.

My Approach

How I work

My approach is person-centred. It draws on evidence, lived experience, and careful listening.

I value your autonomy and lived experiance, this means:

You are in control – We move at a pace that feels right for you.

Your voice matters – I encourage you to be an active participant in your care.

Support beyond movement – I consider the full picture of your well-being, not just exercise.

I understand that emotional, social, and physical factors shape your relationship with movement. Together, we’ll build a movement plan that works for you.

Who this approach is for

My approach suits people looking for supportive, personalised movement. I work with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent people, and with those who are chronically ill, disabled, or in large bodies.

If you’ve felt unheard in medical or fitness spaces, this is a place where movement is adaptable, respectful, and centred around your needs.

Values

What Guides My Work

Evidence-Based

I draw on your lived experience, my clinical experience, and relevant research to guide movement decisions. What we do is grounded in evidence and adapted to your goals, capacity, and context.

Collaboration

I work collaboratively with you, recognising that rebuilding a relationship with movement takes time. Your lived experience matters, and decisions are made together, not imposed.

Self-Compassion

I support you to approach movement with less judgement and more care. I hold space for self-compassion while you build the capacity to extend that care to yourself.

Inclusivity

I work with people of diverse bodies, identities, and experiences. Movement here is flexible, respectful, and paced around your needs, not expectations.
