Size-Inclusive Movement Support

Size-Inclusive Movement Support

Support that centres your values, not your weight

About the service

I practise weight-neutral, size-inclusive exercise physiology. That means I don’t treat body size as a problem to be fixed, and I don’t use weight loss as a measure of health.

This service is for people who want movement support that isn’t focused on changing their body size. Many people arrive here after being dismissed, shamed, or harmed in weight-focused healthcare and fitness spaces.

My role is to offer movement support that prioritises safety, autonomy, and quality of life, without adding to that harm.

What you can expect

When you work with me, you can expect:

  • No weigh-ins. If weight monitoring is medically required, this is usually managed by your GP and isn’t done at Your Movement Space.
  • No weight-loss prescriptions. I don’t recommend weight loss as a health intervention. Weight is only discussed if you choose to bring it up.
  • Evidence-based care. Recommendations are grounded in research, and you’re always supported to give informed consent.
  • A stigma-free space. Sessions are run without shame, judgement, or body surveillance.
  • Eating-disorder-aware care. I work in ways that actively avoid reinforcing disordered eating or compulsive exercise behaviours.
  • Unconditional positive regard. You don’t need to justify your body, your history, or your goals to access care here.

Accessibility and equipment

I’m upfront about access so you can decide what feels right for you.

  • Seating
The waiting area includes a long bench and an armless chair rated to 200+ kg. The studio bench has a 300+ kg capacity.
  • Reformer equipment
The reformer has a 200 kg weight limit.
  • Entry and stairs
The main entrance includes stairs made up of three sets of five steps, with landings and a handrail. Flat access is available. Let me know ahead of time if you need it.
  • Bathroom
A unisex, accessible bathroom is located on the same level, around two metres from the waiting area.
  • Shared space
Flourish Kirribilli is a weight-stigma-free environment. There is no weight-centric language, imagery, or practice in shared areas, and all practitioners working there are size-inclusive.
  • Transport and parking
Travel and parking details are listed in the FAQ section.

Harm reduction and intentional weight loss

I respect body autonomy, and I understand how deeply weight stigma can affect mental health, quality of life, and access to care.

In some situations, people pursue intentional weight loss because it feels necessary to access healthcare or life opportunities, such as fertility treatment, joint replacement, or gender-affirming care. If that’s your context, I won’t shame or dismiss you.

Harm reduction does not mean promoting weight loss. It means prioritising safety and wellbeing in contexts where weight loss is already part of someone’s reality.

This may include:

  • working with you towards your stated goals without pressure or moral judgement
  • identifying physical and psychological risk markers and adapting movement accordingly
  • prioritising safety, capacity, and wellbeing over weight outcomes

Weight loss is never positioned as the measure of success. Your safety, autonomy, and quality of life come first.
